BPC-157 Gut Health Peptide Therapy

Your gut health is the key to a pain-free and high-quality life. The gut, or gastrointestinal tract, is the foundation of the human body. It breaks down all the food we consume and allows key nutrients to enter the bloodstream which supports proper body function. The gut microbiome comprises bacteria, archaea, viruses, and fungi that regulate various bodily processes. The immune system and central nervous system must be balanced for successful food absorption and health.

BPC-157 Peptide

Numerous studies investigating BPC-157 peptide consistently demonstrate positive and prompt healing for a wide range of soft tissues found in the gut. BPC-157 has wonderful potential as a therapy to aid in the recovery and treatment of soft tissues such as tendons and ligaments. Then there is also the fact that BPC-157 has anti-inflammatory properties that promote gut healing by accelerating tissue repair and reducing swelling. As a result, it can be used to improve digestion and treat conditions such as Ulcerative Colitis (UC, Chron’s Disease, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

How Poor Gut Health Effects You

The gut microbiome, which is an enormous cluster of living organisms, exists side by side with the human cells in the intestine. The microbiome benefits from nutrients passing through the gut and in return produces by-products essential for human health. The makeup of the microbiome can change and adapt to the environment. The better the environment the more beneficial the organisms in the microbiome are. An imbalanced microbiome can disrupt the digestive process in the gut leading to various symptoms such as bloating, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and stomach pain. If you experience frequent bathroom visits or insufficient bowel movements, poor gut health may be the cause of your digestive issues. Poor gut health affects the body’s absorption of nutrients leading to fatigue and poor sleep and causing issues with weight regulation as well as skin health. Mental health issues such as anxiety and depression are also more likely to occur when the gut function is compromised. Gut health plays a significant role in regulating weight. A poorly functioning gut can cause sudden weight loss or weight gain since the gut microbiome supports a healthy metabolism. Skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis have also been linked to poor gut health due to inflammation triggered by an imbalanced gut.

What Is BPC-157?

BPC-157 is a stable gastric peptide, which is a chain of 15 amino acids derived from a protective protein in the stomach. Peptides are smaller versions of proteins that people use for various purposes such as anti-aging, muscle-building, and anti-inflammatory. BPC-157 is an anti-ulcer agent stable in human gastric juice with no known serious side effects. It is effective in healing both upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts and has been tested in clinical phase II for treating Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and has been shown to be safe and promote wound healing*.

How Does BPC-157 Peptide Therapy Restore Your Gut Health

BPC-157 is well-known for accelerating the healing of various wounds, including those in the digestive tract. It acts systematically in the digestive tract by increasing blood flow to damaged tissues aiding in overall tissue repair and reducing inflammation. BPC-157 is cytoprotective which means it maintains the mucosal lining of the gastrointestinal tract. It promotes the growth of hormone receptors which aids gut healing and decreases pain in damaged areas of the intestines. well as other epithelial tissues such as the liver, brain, heart, skin, and pancreas. To combat gut inflammation and promote healing, the BPC-157 improves blood flow and reduces swelling in the gut. BPC-157 is a protective agent that maintains the integrity of the stomach lining against harmful substances like alcohol and NSAIDs. It also protects other organs such as the liver, pancreas, and brain, and helps prevent damage to the endothelium of blood vessels.**

The Risks Of NSAIDS On Your Gut Health

Certain drugs can negatively impact gut health resulting in various symptoms arising. NSAIDs are short for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs which can cause inflammation and disruption of the microbiome. While they are a type of pain-relieving medication that works by inhibiting bodily compounds that cause inflammation, they often tend to backfire. Examples of common NSAIDs include acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, and naproxen – which can be purchased over-the-counter at pharmacies.

While NSAIDs have relatively few risks when taken occasionally they have some minor and major risks for your gut health. They can affect the gastrointestinal tract and complications such as ulcers may arise. Along with these nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation and in more serious cases bleeding, perforation, and obstruction can occur. Holes in the wall of the gut can form and leave blockages that keep food or liquid from passing through the gut which should not be taken lightly. BPC-157 helps alleviate these symptoms and neutralizes the damage to the gut lining caused by NSAID drugs.

What Conditions Can Benefit From BPC-157 Peptide Therapy?

Ulcerative Colitis (UC)
UC is a type of inflammatory bowel disease that affects the gastrointestinal tract. It is when the lining of the colon and rectum become inflamed leading to the formation of ulcers. This inflammation usually starts in the rectum and spreads upwards affecting the entire colon causing frequent toilet visits as the bowel empties frequently. Ulcers develop as the cells on the lining of the bowel surface die in which case bleeding and discharge of mucus and pus can be observed. Symptoms of UC include abnormal abdominal sounds, abdominal pain, bloody stools, fever, rectal pain, diarrhea, malnutrition, and weight loss.

Crohn’s Disease
This inflammatory bowel disease results in inflammation of the digestive tract’s tissues. Symptoms include severe diarrhea, abdominal pain, fatigue, malnutrition, and weight loss. Various parts of the digestive tract are affected in different individuals but the most common area is the small intestine. This inflammation can often extend into the deeper layers of the bowel. Crohn’s disease can be extremely painful and should be taken seriously as it may even lead to life-threatening complications. Although there is no known cure for Crohn’s disease, BPC-157 peptide therapy is available to the rescue. With proper treatment, many individuals with Crohn’s disease can lead functional lives. BPC-157 can significantly reduce symptoms and even induce long-term remission and inflammation healing.

GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease)
The dysfunction of the valve mechanism between the esophagus and the stomach leads to GERD which has a negative impact on your gut health. The lower esophageal sphincter opens during swallowing to allow food to pass into the stomach and closes to prevent stomach contents including acidic and digestive secretions from moving back into the esophagus. When this intricate system fails reflux of food, acids, and the digestive enzyme pepsin can occur resulting in damage to the esophageal lining and heartburn. Other symptoms include nausea, anemia, vomiting, weight loss, difficulty swallowing, and bloody stools.

IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
IBS is a gastrointestinal disorder that impacts both the stomach and intestines. It can cause several symptoms such as abdominal pain, cramps, gas, bloating, constipation, and/or diarrhea. While only a small percentage of individuals with IBS experience severe symptoms, many people control their symptoms by turning to NSAIDS- which we mentioned earlier can have negative outcomes. BPC-157 helps with IBS by reducing gut swelling and improving sphincter dysfunction without the risks of NSAIDS on your gut.
